Current information

In order to make visiting the exhibition safe during the Corona pandemic, the Goethe House and the scientific library will be opened and events will be held in accordance with a comprehensive hygiene plan that has been developed and implemented in accordance with official requirements. The precautionary measures for the protection against infection include a strict reduction of the permitted number of visitors as well as the increased cleaning of neuralgic points. The officially issued regulations and recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute, the federal and state governments, the Museum Association and the authorities of the City of Frankfurt apply.

Precautionary measures

  • Acutely ill persons must refrain from visiting the exhibition.
  • Negative proof (vaccination, recovery with PCR test, daily antigen rapid test) in conjunction with an official identification document is required for the visit.
  • The wearing of a medical mouth-nose covering (surgical masks or masks with the KN95/N95 or FFP2 standards) is compulsory during the entire visit. Please bring this with you or purchase it on site at cost price.
  • Please wash or disinfect your hands regularly during your stay. Disinfection dispensers are available for you.
  • Keep at least 1.5 to 2 metres away from other people.
  • Please avoid shaking hands. Please observe the sneeze and cough etiquette.
  • For your cloakroom, please use the lockers available in the ticket office.
  • No liability is assumed for the use of the coat racks.
  • Audio guides are not issued.
  • Guided tours with a maximum of 9 participants.
  • Please follow the instructions of the staff.

For participation in the evening events, prior registration by e-mail or telephone is necessary. The registration form is available for download. Registration can also be made directly at the museum box office.

Contact details are recorded for the purpose of tracing chains of infection, kept securely for four weeks and only passed on to the relevant health authority on request.

Every second and fourth Saturday of the month 2pm

Participants up to 18 years of age have free admission.

Goethe-Galerie

Goethe Galerie is closed. The reopening will take place together with the opening of the German Museum of Romanticism, expected in the second half of 2021.

 

Participation is included in the museum admission.

The guided tours take place with a minimum of two participants, max. 5.

Grouptours

Registration is generally required for groups.

 

Accessibility

The Goethe-House is not accessible for wheelchairs and baby carriages.
A handicapped toilet is available.
