Corona: Current information

From 25.11.2021, the 2G rule applies to visits to the museum, the academic library as well as to participation in events. A valid vaccinated or convalescent status must be presented for admission, including an official photo ID. For pupils, a negative test in the school test booklet will continue to be accepted as proof. Please show the documents at the museum or event box office. Wearing a medical mouth-nose mask (FFP2, KN95, N95 or comparable without exhalation valve, surgical mask) is obligatory for the entire visit.

In order to make visiting the exhibition safe during the Corona pandemic, the Goethe House and the academic library will be opened and events will be held in accordance with a comprehensive hygiene plan that was developed and implemented according to official guidelines. The precautionary measures for infection control include a strict reduction of the permitted number of visitors as well as increased cleaning of neuralgic points. The officially issued regulations and recommendations of the Robert Koch Institute, the federal and state governments, the Museum Association and the authorities of the City of Frankfurt apply.

Anyone who has received all partial vaccinations and whose last vaccination was at least 14 days ago is considered fully vaccinated. Or also who is considered to have already recovered and has received a vaccination with one of the four permitted vaccines.

Convalescent: Presentation of proof of recovery, i.e. proof of previous infection with coronavirus, if the underlying testing was done by laboratory diagnosis using a PCR or PoC-PCR test and at least 28 days and a maximum of six months have passed.

For pupils under 18 years of age, a negative test in the school test booklet is accepted as proof.

The documents must be shown at the museum or event box office.

Exceptions: The 2G Plus rule does not apply to children under 6 years of age or to children who have not yet started school and to persons who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons and who prove this by a written medical certificate that also includes their full name and date of birth, plus proof of a negative rapid test, no more than 24 hours old, issued by a recognised testing centre (PCR test: 48 h).
